The Friends Of Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a registered charity and was formed in 1990 by a few individuals; all of whom had come into contact with the Hospice when their respective husbands, wives and close family members had been patients. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength and do a tremendous amount of fund-raising ourselves. The three main aims of the charity are: * To raise funds to help with the provision of items which are not available via the N.H.S and to buy those much needed extras for our patients. * To give support to the medical staff and patients in any way we can. * To promote awareness in the local community. Daisy's Dream supports bereaved children and their families throughout Berkshire and the surrounding areas. Each year the organisation supports over 500 children cope with the death of a parent, brother, sister or other close relative. The service is tailored to meet the needs of individual children. There is a range of services which include telephone advice and support, direct work with children in their home or at school and events including weekend events which give families the opportunity to meet with others in similar situations.
Dockland Settlements has three community centres in the former Dockland area of East London. Home-Start Wandsworth is a charity providing support to families with at least one child under five by volunteers whom we also recruit and train. Through weekly home visits they are able to respond to the problems of struggling families with both practical and emotional help.

Yeovil Samaritans speaks to people in Somerset and Dorset, and takes calls from all over the UK. It has 90 volunteers who answer over 13,000 calls and reply to over 1,200 emails a year. We raise funds to run the branch and keep the service going.

St Luke's is Sheffield's only hospice, offering specialist end of life care free of charge to people across the whole of Sheffield. St Luke's Hospice cared for more than 1,400 patients last year, providing care for the whole community from Stocksbridge to Swallownest, from Dore to Darnall. St Luke's cares for people in three main ways - the in-patient unit with its 30 beds, the Therapies and Rehabilitation Centre, which looks after the needs of our day patients, and our team of 11 community nurses, caring for people in their own homes.
