1st Kennington Scout Group New Hall Fund

The current Scout Hut has served the Kennington Group for nearly 50 years. It is steeped in history and character and has some wonderful stories to tell but alas in recent years the structure has deteriorated to the point where, despite extensive 'first aid', it can no longer provide the facilities and needs of the modern Scout Group. Plans for a new Scout Hall on the same site have been drawn up and approved by Ashford Council. The cost is in excess of £250,000 and because they are a voluntary organisation the money needs to be raised by the Scouts themselves and their supporters. With only £50,000 raised so far they have a long way to go and need all the help they can get!

In 2010 Coggeshall Scouts & Guides are hoping to move to a new headquarters built in partnership with Honywood Community Science School. We are asking for your support to help raise our share of the costs associated with the build and fit-out of the building.
This new building will provide a purpose built space for Scouts and Guides for many years to come. We currently have waiting lists for all our sections, however, the new building is 75% larger than our current HQ and will enable us to meet the demand which at present means not all youngsters in Coggeshall can have the opportunity to be Scouts or Guides.
So far between ourselves and the School we have raised £390,000 and with the sale of our existing building and land will be close to the sum we need to complete the build and fit out. We are now asking for your help to reach our target and offering you the chance to be permanently recognised in the new HQ. Donate £250 and above to become a Patron of Coggeshall Scouts & Guides.
• Your name will be included on the Patrons board which will be errected in the new HQ as a permanent record of all our Patrons
• Certificate of Thanks
• Invitation to the Patrons Opening Ceremony
Donate from £1 to £249 to become a Supporter of Coggeshall Scouts & Guides. In recognition of your support:
• Name on the Supporters section of our web-site
• Inclusion in the Supporters Register which will be kept in th new HQ
Please can you help us?
