The Eden Trust, an educational charity, was established to build and operate the Eden Project as one of the Landmark Millennium projects to mark the year 2000 in the UK. The core statement of the charitable aims of the Eden Trust is 'to promote public education and research into flora, fauna and other aspects of the natural environment'. The Parent Teacher Association at Hobbayne Primary School is a fund raising organisation run by volunteers from the school community. <p> The funds raised provide additional learning opportunities such as theatre, music, and workshops that really make a difference to the children's learning, and enjoyment of school life.. The PTA also helps to fund larger projects such as playground development. <p> Junior Playground Campaign <p> Over the next few months, we will be raising as much money as possible for the junior playground. <p> This has become a goal for us because some of the playground equipment has recently been demolished for safety reasons, the playing field has limited access because of drainage problems, and the playground currently does not provide enough things for children who are less interested, or able to play ball games. <p> The school has already set aside £10,000.The PTA has put in another £5,000. <p> The PTA would like to give the school another £5,000, so we have quite a bit of fund raising to do. <p> Any donations you make will go to building the playground fund, to provide a stimulating, safe, and fun environment that supports the Caring, Sharing, Learning approach that is central to Hobbayne Primary.
